Almost there: one of my favourite days. In april there was Erfgoeddag and the next weekend – sunday 13/9/2015 – it’s Open Monumentendag (Monuments open their doors). You can find the full program of which monuments are open in Flanders on this site (sorry no link anymore). I was a volunteer on this day a couple of times, but this year is the first time I organise something myself! I’m so excited, also because it’s already fully booked! I stop about talking about myself, because I want to give you some tips what you can / have to visit on that sunday. And by the way: everything is free! Here we go:
Churches
Sint Pauluskerk
You can visit the church and the Calvary (always free!) but on sunday you can visit the crypt!

Our Lady’s Cathedral
A monument you can’t miss.
13:00-17:00 – Groenplaats 21, entrance: Handschoenmarkt
Musea
Library Hendik Consciense, Nottebohmzaal
Not really a museum, but a library which has good exhibitions. There is now an exhibition about the 7 seas.

Cloister and hospital, you can visit the chapel and the former rooms of the cloister.

Only chance to see this building on the inside!
